The haemodialysis department consists of a team of professionals who work together to provide high-quality treatment for patients with Chronic Kidney Failure, through the continuous improvement of processes and the development of standards aimed at meeting patients' needs.

The haemodialysis unit is certified by the ISO 9001:2000 Quality system and is in the process of obtaining INACEPS certification.

Location

The Haemodialysis Unit is situated on the ground floor of Clínica Vistahermosa with two entrances: one directly from the street and the other from the Clinic's main Reception.

This department has an on-site nephrologist present throughout the haemodialysis treatment, who also visits inpatients and sees outpatients. The nursing staff are highly qualified and specialised in Nephrology.

Structure and running of the Unit

The unit has three haemodialysis rooms, two for patients without any type of hepatitis markers, which are equipped with 19 monitors, and one for patients WITH HCV+ ANTIBODIES, which is equipped with three monitors.

It has a haemodialysis water treatment plant using reverse osmosis, with a 20,000-litre treated water tank.

►There are six patient sessions per week, which are distributed as follows:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.

►The patient sessions each day are as follows:

1st Session: at 8 a.m.

2nd Session: at 1 p.m.

3rd Session: at 5.30 p.m.

The Unit's equipment

The haemodialysis monitors use latest generation technology, with a DIASCAN monitoring system, the clinical purpose of which is to quantitatively control the efficacy of the dialysis in real time.
The dialysis monitors' bath system is centralised.
The equipment in the rooms includes an emergency trolley, defibrillator and BP monitor with pulse oximeter.

The rooms are equipped with a television circuit and individual points for each dialysis station with earphones and ambient music for patients during their treatment.

There is a generator to cover any failures in the electricity supply.
